BERG tool clamping system impresses by huge durability

17.05.2018

As your competent partner for clamping systems in machine tools and forming machines BERG Spanntechnik celebrates its 100th company anniversary this year. Reliability, flexibility and the focus on a constant high quality of our products define our brand essence.

The outstanding quality of the BERG products has been recently underlined by repair orders for two electromechanical tool clamping systems for press slides – internally called “starling nest boxes” because of their specific appearance. The two tool clamping systems were initially delivered to Audi in 1984. Now and after unbelievable 34 years of reliable working they have been in repair for the very first time.

This news spread like wildfire internally and caused obviously joy and pride in the entire BERG crew – like here with Mr. Oldemeier. In spite of their imposing age we were able to disassemble the “starling nest boxes” and exchange the wearing parts. After mounting and checking them properly we sent them back again to the press shop being ready for future use.

All in all it’s a prime example of durability and quality of the BERG products as well as our excellent repair service.

By the way: You can look forward to the exhibition EuroBLECH in autumn ‒ you will not see any “starling nest boxes” there but the newest generation of mechanical tool clamping systems with sensor technology inside. You may be curious!
