PSP 4.0 "Tool Assist" – our die clamps for the forming technology of the future

Due to the demands of the market to provide greater diversity of variants and models, modern production plants have to increasingly focus on the individualisation and optimisation of their processes. BERG accommodates the challenges our customers are facing with smart products that ensure more stable and adjustable production.

In cooperation with the Fraunhofer IWU (a leading institute for resource-efficient production), we are developing a smart die clamp that not only monitors itself and the clamping process. Thanks to its exposed position close to the tool and workpiece it is also able to detect and evaluate trends in the forming process. The result: an efficient production process and consistently high workpiece quality.
